Thank you for visiting our website. We are a Non-Profit Organization set up to alleviate the lifelong suffering that is caused by poverty. We are based in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. The organization is dedicated to helping underprivileged children, youth, and families escape poverty through education and innovative programs that teach market-focused livelihood skills. Leela Foundation is committed to providing holistic education for 5,000 children in the next ten years and to enable adults, especially women, create sustainable livelihoods. Our motto is “we are committed to a holistic and humanistic vision of quality education, the realization of everyone's right to education, and the belief that education plays a fundamental role in human, social, and economic development."

This poverty is passed on generation to generation, and it is our mission to break the cycle using education. We are working hard towards this and have accomplished much in the short few years since we were founded, the jewel in our crown being the building and opening of Leela Memorial school. But there is huge need, and we rely totally on donations and sponsorship for the children attending our school so that they may continue to attend. Without sponsorship for the children it will be impossible to realise our dream. Each child needs their own sponsor, without a sponsor it is impossible for a child to remain in the school.
